RANCHO EL FORTIN has a special interest in the conservation of native species of Northern Mexico.
It heads and promotes conservation programs that will in the future restablish major species like black
bear, white tail deer, mule deer, elk, bison and other small species like javalina, coyote, bobcat,
mountain lion, quail, dove and 28 varieties of duck and turkey.
RANCHO EL FORTIN has a reserve of 7,500 acres and is involved in different programs such as soil and water
conservation and reforestation, guided by the Mexican federal and state governments.
